The Reiss School Motivation Profile® (RSMP) is a standardized questionnaire consisting of 13 scales—that is, all except beauty, saving, and eating. Therefore the RSMP is shorter in length with its 104 items and adjusted to the language of 12 to 25-year-old students.
The results of the RSMP provide a standardized score indicating the strength of 13 life motives. The standardized scores are interpreted in terms of ‘‘high,’’ ‘‘low,’’ and ‘‘average’’ motivation.
According to Reiss’s (2008) model, high and low standard scores have significant implications for behavior in real-world environments.
