The Reiss Motivation Profile® Master Certification

Virtual Program

The Reiss Motivation Profile® (RMP) is a standardized, comprehensive assessment of a person's needs, interests, motives, and life goals. The RMP is used in coaching, team building, conflict resolution, leadership training, and employee engagement initiatives.

In this intensive 2-day training you will acquire the ability to carry out the Reiss Motivation Profile® professionally and learn how to interpret its results and to use it as a complex instrument for personality, team and organizational development. This program will teach you the fundamentals of the RMP including its theoretical basis, practical application, and administration.

Each participant is required to take the RMP and attend a virtual debriefing via a Zoom call prior to the course so that the information can be personalized to meet your specific professional area. Pre-study materials will be provided upon enrollment. A certification exam will be administered at the end of the course.

Why RMP

  • RMP helps individuals to know themselves better and understand why they are motivated to do what they do.

  • Illustrates an individual’s unique motives so that they can create an ideal environment where they can thrive. This increases their satisfaction and reduces their frustrations in different aspects of life.

  • Helps to eliminate misunderstandings.

  • Illustrates how the intensity of an individual’s desires and values compare to most other people. This knowledge helps people to be more effective at communicating, influencing, and collaborating with others.

  • It is a non-judgmental tool and also eliminates stereotyping people, helps individuals to embrace their differences and aims to capitalize on each person’s unique genetic genius.

  • Teaches how to accept and include different opinions and opposite worldviews

  • Determines how someone is naturally compatible with others and illuminates the areas of potential conflicts.

  • Objectively assess someone’s natural fit for a role or a team.

  • Identifies the greatest temptations and assists in creating avoidance plans.

  • It helps to discover what is most meaningful to someone at work and in life and so that they can build good habits that help them to live life the most meaningful way.

  • The RMP is the first empirically derived, standardized assessment of human needs. It provides the only significant taxonomy of human needs based on factor analysis (mathematical congruence of goals) of survey data of what diverse samples of people said motivates them.

Prerequisites for Candidates for RMP Certification Training

for the RMP for Business and the RMP for Sports

  • The Reiss Motivation Profile® (RMP) is a psychological test that measures an individual’s intrinsic motives, thereby leading to insights about core values, personality traits, and behavior. To use the test properly, an examiner must have knowledge of the RMP’s scientific development, underlying theoretical constructs, administration, norms, and interpretive principles. An examiner also should have a reasonable degree of professional experience working with clients in his field.

Therefore, a candidate for certification training for the RMP for Business or RMP for Sports should have demonstrated the ability to successfully complete college-level coursework and also should have a minimum of one year of experience working with the type of clients to whom the RMP would be administered.

Success in college-level coursework can be demonstrated through the completion of a college degree, successful participation in college classes, attainment of relevant professional certifications, or a history of successful work experience in business or athletics.
